TJ Mangrum

TJ teaches a style of yoga that combines alignment and flow, focusing on the breath and it's connection to the body while keeping pace to correctly align the class for safety and shape. While her classes are full of self-motivated movement, she has an underlying ask of her class to turn inward and see themselves on a spiritual level.

She teaches Stand Up Paddle Board yoga as well as land yoga. She is a Lululemon ambassador as well as a Bōte ambassador and will be offering SUP yoga classes on the ocean in Costa Rica.

In her words:"Someone recently asked me, 'What would you tell your younger self about what you've learned this far?'... I replied 'I thought I knew, but now I know I know nothing'. Being empowered to me is a thirst for experience. A thirst for experiencing ourselves and our individual strengths. Finding empowerment is experiencing myself in new and challenging ways - empowering myself through witnessing my strengths and manifesting my goals. Empowerment, for me, is recognizing my true value and my ultimate truth."

Jenn Cook

Yoga to Jenn is a means to empowerment. The shifts, awareness & cultivation of our true selves takes work, humility, gratitude and a continued openness to growth - the highs & the lows, the easy & the super challenging. It also takes an owning of ones personal amazingness, our own inner Light. We ALL have the great capacity to change not only our immediate world, but the world around us & for generations to come.

Jenn has an alignment based, more athletically inclined style of teaching infused with the subtle energetic elements of mudras, chakras, breathwork & meditation. Jenn is also very in love with restorative yoga. One of her greatest awakenings from her yoga practice has been the acknowledgement of the importance of rest & spaciousness.

Jenn completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2013 & is working on her 500 hour. She is certified in prenatal yoga, Thai Yoga Bodywork, has her Level 1 Ayurveda Health Coach Certification & makes one of a kind jewelry under Drea James Designs. She is proud to be a Lululemon Ambassador.

This retreat is the start of living out one of Jenn’s biggest dreams - to teach yoga while getting to travel. Having the gift of being able to immerse oneself in a relaxing environment surrounded by wonderful community is truly special. She plans on offering Thai Yoga Bodywork sessions & a mala meditation necklace making class while on retreat.

Sarah Cavrak

Sarah is a teacher, healer, and fully embodied force of nature. She is on a path set forth for her by the Wise Warrior that lives within and empowers her heart.  A student for life, Sarah is in constant evolution, fine-tuning her body, mind, and spirit through the practices of yoga, meditation, writing, and quiet contemplation.  Above all, she seeks to live within the grace of the Divine and WILD feminine.

Sarah holds a PhD in Cognitive Sciences, is an international yoga teacher, a published writer, and the creative director of Wild Moon Women - a creative project of sisterhood, community, and monthly new moon meditation gatherings.

Sarah has taught within the rain forests of Costa Rica, as well as on the mountains of Guatemala.  But it was the small seaside town of Puerto Viejo that profoundly changed her path.  It was there that she became exposed to her first women's circle ceremony, and from this tropical oasis that she emerged from the jungle a changed and empowered Woman.

Empowerment, to Sarah, is about living authentically - a process that begins and ends with courage.  Courage to look inside oneself.  Courage to go through and beyond one's real or perceived disappointments, failures, and short comings.  Courage to find the stillness and clarity of a heart that is wise, and alive, and yearning to be seen.  That is what empowerment feels like, and she is overjoyed to share the catalyst of her transformation with you.
